Documentary: Kaleidoscope

Logline: Based on her own experience, the filmmaker observes how, in moments of communal struggle, New York City’s myriad of diversity shows its heart and reminds us of our humanity.

During the pandemic, community became everything. What began as a personal photo project to document a dormant New York City evolved into a deeper narrative—one of resilience, identity, and love for a city that has shaped me, even through personal trauma. New York has always thrived in its beautiful chaos, built on layers of culture, contradiction, and unexpected humanity. This short film captures that spirit—highlighting the quiet victories and shared strength that carry us through. It is my first fully self-produced film, created on a zero budget, born from a deep need to show that even in despair, resilience endures.
